Proper control of the composition guarantees the right level of hardening and subsequent efficient operation of the parts. We test hardness using Rockwell and Brinell hardness gauges to ensure that none of the heat-treated components are too soft, which would cause premature wear; or too hard, which would lead to sudden failure.
